Home Acupuncture Treatment Sessions

The initial 1 ½ to 2 hour visit includes a thorough medical and family history during which we look at how you view your life and the changes you wish to occur.  This includes discussing your main complaint, other symptoms, your home, social and work life, and a complete review of your physical systems.  In addition, there is a physical examination and pulse diagnosis.  There are 12 pulses, each relating to one of the major meridians and functions of the body.  All of this information is evaluated and a treatment plan is designed specifically for your highest level of well being and happiness.

Treatments are often scheduled once a week for 6 to 8 weeks. As symptoms begin to ease and harmony is restored to the flow of the Qi , treatments are  spaced out to intervals that best serve your needs.  Since acupuncture is a preventive health system, many people continue treatment once a season as a means to stay more balanced and maintain a sense of well being.
